Hi all -
We have had some trouble getting indexed on Yahoo. We opened a yahoo store with them last July, and finally got the site programmed and functional in early February. We submitted our site in late January-early Feb, but as of now Yahoo has only indexed a total of 26 of our approximately 2300 pages. Does that seem strange. Considering we are a Yahoo store and they have something to gain from us making sales we are a bit surprised that they haven't done any more than that at this point. Has anyone else encountered similar problems? Does anyone have any suggestions? We are indexed fine on Google, they may not have all 2300 pages up, but they have indexed over 1600 pages so far. Also, we submitted to MSN at the same time as Goggle and Yahoo, and we are nowhere to be found on their site. Thanks! Beth |

Hi Beth,
I've seen this before. I wish I had an answer for you. I have a workaround for you. I don't know if it is really worth it. We "resell" a product from Yahoo called Search Submit Pro. Paid Inclusion from Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture) What this product is, is - We work with Yahoo and submit every page of your website into their index. You pay an average of $.28 per click for every url. It guarantees that every page of your site is in the Yahoo index. From what I've heard from other customers, when you cancel or pause the program, Yahoo doesn't remove the URL's from their index. There is no guarantee on this. If you think this is something you'd be interested in, send me a private message. The program is not very popular, and there are only a few people on our staff that know how to sell it.

Google does not have a paid search inclusion. The best way to get more pages indexed by Google is to have an up to date .xml sitemap that you can submit through Google Webmaster Tools. (Go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools and choose 'Submit A Sitemap' on the Dashboard)
