This is a great article! Many advertisers want and insist on being in the #1 paid spot, and it's often not the best choice. Often times we find that users click a lot of the #1-2 ads but they haven't really figured out what they want yet. You may end up getting a lot of traffic with a poor conversion rate compared to the #3 or #4 position.

Definitely test your ads in different spots and find what works best for you. Great advice Yahoo!
