Default Facebook Groups vs. Facebook Fan Pages
I found an article at Search Engine Journal that's pretty interesting. They did a comparison of the value they were getting from their Facebook group vs. their Facebook fan page:

Has anyone had great success one way or another? Personally, I like the fan pages better. But ideally, I say do BOTH and maximize your exposure.

groups are ok if the group has many members same through with page. if you have many friends to view your page it's ok
