Hi!
What are your experiences about internet directories? Have they been successful in bringing traffic to your site? Have they affected your Google page rank? |

Why don't you try posting an article to Wikicommerce.org.
I'm sure you'll get more quality traffic through that site than 100 link directories. |

Hi! Great question, however be careful about which directories you choose to submit your link to. First, be sure the directory has atleast a PageRank of 5/10. Second, it is best to choose directories that relate to your particular niche. After all, if a directory lists everything from car insurance to pet toys, will visitors be able to actually find your link among all the others and click to your site? Probably not.
However, there are a few high quality directories that have a plethora of categories, such as Dmoz.org and Yahoo's Directory at Dir.Yahoo.com . Best of The Web at Botw.org is also a great directory, but does require a fee. Keep in mind that submitting your site to directories should be only one portion of your entire link building campaign. Low quality directories with thousands of irrelevant links will only hurt your SEO. Look for well-established directories, especially ones that relate to your industry. Expand your link building campaign by looking for informational sites and blogs related to your industry, and contact the site owner and ask if they would consider adding your link to their site. Don't be afraid to link out to their site too - but as with all aspects of SEO, think in terms of moderation. Thanks, Alicia SEO Specialist, Solid Cactus |

Hi jstonewell,
Online directories are really good for drive traffic to your website as well as for Google PR. Although it takes more time rather than other SEO work but it's right & true. Thanks! jonas

We suggest and endorse best of the web (botw.org) and even have a deal with them for 10% off if you use code SOLID1.
