Hi everyone,
I was curious if anyone has a few good resources on how to do PPC for yourself. I know the basics, but I have not had a lot of success with running a successful PPC campaign. Part of that is my site needs some improvements with regards to conversion which I am working on. The other part is I do not understand the ins and outs of PPC marketing like some of the Pros do. I am not quite ready to sign up with a PPC management service quite yet due to resource constraints. |

Hi Hans,
There are a ton of resources out there to help you with your PPC. Most of my favorites are actually online resources & blogs. Google Adwords has created the AdWords Learning Center which is a great guide to all the features available in your PPC campaigns on Adwords. It's one of the resources we use in our department when we are studying for the Google Advertising Professional exam. If you're not sure what kind of functionality is available in your PPC programs, this will help. It doesn't translate exactly across Yahoo & MSN, but the structure is similar enough that it will still be helpful. Search Engine Guide also has a good selection of posts on PPC tools and tips. The site is built with the small business owner in mind. Finally, PPC Hero has a great blog with info for PPC beginners. I hope these help you as you work on your PPC. You're right to recognize that a large part of a successful PPC campaign is to have a site that is well optimized. If you have any questions, don't forget that you can also always come here for advice!
