Default Masked URL vs. Redirect

Okay,

I just found out tonight by some strange chance that my domain registrar had implemented a new feature. Any URL's that had previously been redirected were now using masked URL's. I changed it back to a simple redirect. I recently had a significant drop in my google traffic. Could the masked URL have caused some of the problem? I have an older URL that was my previous website before I joined Yahoo. I just wanted to make sure that any old traffic was redirected. I understand from some reading I did that it may have caused Google to think there were two duplicate websites. What are your thoughts?

Thanks
