I read somewhere the other day that internal linking within your own site can do a lot to help you rank well in the SERPs. Is that really true/still true? Does it carry a lot of weight with the search engines? I would guess it would not carry a tremendous amount of weight since the webmaster ultimately has control over the linking.
Thoughts?? |

Internal linking is a good on-site way to improve SEO. It's a good way to direct crawlers and human users to worthwhile content on your site. Like anything else, I recommend that you link to high-value pages that are relevant to the page you're linking from. Use anchor text that is relevant to both pages (not 'click here' or the like).

Jeff,
I sure will. The internal linking is my next project on my list. I am really gald that my SEO efforts are starting to have an affect on my overall number of visitors. Now I need to figure out how to get more of those visitors to convert. I think I am going to try to find ways to make it easier to sign up for my newsletter. All the best, Hans |
