Default Google Sells Performics! - Marketers-World-Wide Rejoice!

Google Announced Yesterday the will be divesting themselves of the recently acquired Search Marketing Firm / Affiliate Firm, Performics. Performics was part of the Double Click acquisition where Google acquired one the industry leaders in Search Bid Management, Affiliate Portals, Rich-media delivery and media managment. The unfortunate ace in their hat with this is that one of Performics divisions does SEM and SEO. A Search Engine owning a Search Firm - now thats just bad news. Thankfully, they have decided to keep the good and spin off what could have been a black-hat in their white-hat world. Would they have gotten special treatment or updates before other search firms? Now, the outrage on that would have been indescribable...

Definitely a good move on Google's part in the long run. Their credibility would have been severely crippled if they had kept Performics.
