Default Google Announces Demographic Bidding

The Inside Adwords blog reported on Friday that Google Adwords will now have the capability to target users by demographics. Advertisers are able to target users by age, gender or a combination of the two. It's an exciting new feature that has just come out of beta.

Unfortunately, it seems that the feature is still being rolled out as Search Engine Land reported that they could not find the feature. It has not gotten much blog activity yet, which leads me to believe that people are having similar issues. I checked several accounts this morning and the feature has only become active in one of them so far.

Once this is resolved and access is granted across the board, this should be a promising feature. I'll follow up here once I find that the issue is fixed.

Default

It looks like this is being worked out. I'm starting to see the demographics option in accounts where it was missing this morning.

Another note: I believe that this is only an option for content network-enabled campaigns so far, so you may not see it if you are running search network only!
