Default breadcrumbs

we have several items where there will be 3-5 breadcrumbs for that item......which sometimes pushes down the item on the page.......you will have all the breadcrumbs at the top......then the item below that...at times it does not look that good....you have to scroll down.

is there a way of setting a limit on how many breadcrumbs to show.....so instead of 5....we could maybe show 2 (this would include the original path the customer took).

is there a way of changing the text size of the breadcrumbs?

thanks for all the help!

I would be interested in this answer as well....most of my breadcrumbs show a handful but there are several thats how a lot - one even shows like 10 - and it too pushes the product too far down the page as a result.

If you are using Multi-breadcrumbs from Solid Cactus there should be a variable called Multi-breadcrumb-limit in global variables. Key in a number of breadcrumbs you wish to display in that variable, you can also create it locally for individual pages if needed.

Not sure what you mean by original path. If you meant the path that users uses to come to the product page then breadcrumbs doesn't work that way. Because once a site is published all data out there is static it can't change based on what section users used to get to the page. It take first 3 or 4 whatever number you used to limit it too from the list of paths and that is what will be always there.

I believe breadcrumbs display in the order of the last section created for that item. It does NOT pull from your main menu. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Mike -
Don't know if it's correct, but that's how mine seems to be operating!

Mike you are right it displays in the order you added the id under contents so the last section where you added becomes your main category in yahoo stores and then the previous one and so on.
