Okay, I have been battling this for a couple of weeks now and it only seems to get worse. I thought we were getting a handle on things but now.... When I log in to webmaster tools on google this is was I see:
No pages from your site are currently included in Google's index. Indexing can take time. You may find it helpful to review our information for webmasters and webmaster guidelines Now if I use the site:mydomainname.com command, I do have pages there and if I search on the website domain name it comes up....Is this just a glitch or something or am I in big trouble? Thanks |

Search engines may think Personalized Embroidered Baby Gifts, Unique Embroidered Baby Gifts,Embroidered Gifts and myembroideredgifts.com are two different sites.
You should set up a permanent redirect (technically called a "301 redirect") between these sites. Once you do that, you will get full search engine credit for your work on these sites. For example, Personalized Embroidered Baby Gifts, Unique Embroidered Baby Gifts,Embroidered Gifts seems to have 294 inbound links whereas myembroideredgifts.com has 315 inbound links. By correctly configuring a permanent 301 redirect, the search rankings might improve as all inbound links are correctly counted for the website. Thank you, I am not really sure how to set up the redirect you mention. I have a yahoo store. Which one do I redirect? The www site to the no-www site or other way around and where do I do that. I have a redirect of an old domain name so I basically understand the idea but I am not sure where I do this? The place I have my domains registered or in the yahoo small business set-up?
Thanks for the help! I am really considering setting up a blog. Yahoo's blog software had been recommended. |

Okay, I have read in yahoo and I see where I can redirect all my domains to a list of choices but now I am confused. My domain name is myembroideredgifts Do I want to redirect the non-www version to the www version of the above domain name or to store.myembroideredgifts and should all my domains point to the www verions or the store. verion? I don't want to lose my site and the store. version is confusing me

Debra you are a pretty fast learner. I checked your site and the redirect works perfectly. Good that Dennis pointed it out because Search Engines will penalize for duplicate content, how did I miss that when I was revieweing your site
