Hi everyone! New to this group and this is my first posting.
I have my site almost to where I want it. Just looking for some input from others. I have had this site for 6 years and last August we switched to a Yahoo store. Let me know what you think. Go to Science Fair Projects, Educational Toys and Games, Rock Collections, Toy Animals Thanks! Terry |

Terry –
I absolutely LOVE your website… Your header area is too cool, fun, whimsical. It makes me want to buy something. I hope you utilize the little professor type character holding the magnifying glass ANYWAY you can! I could see him turning into a real “”branding” tool for you! I showed 2 of my friends that are grade school teachers your website; they have never stumbled across your website until I showed them? They are always searching for science type neat projects and props for their classrooms. I’d also send a post card out to some grade school offices and offer a discount. I see you have snap shop, do you know there is a new version that you could really take advantage of because of what you are selling? Check out KALEIDOSCOPES TO YOU - 1000's of Kaleidoscopes In Stock - FREE UPS Ground Shipping on Orders Over $200.00 -Shop Online he has really utilized the new version, I have it too, but haven’t the time yet lol. As I said, I love this website…. But 2 things, take all that text away from the top, you are wasting real valuable space on text… people want to look first, read last!…. And you need a secure shopping badge on your website. You’re a Yahoo store right? You can use the free Yahoo secure badge and put it at least on the left Nav up somewhere. You have the Yahoo site badge below, but not the one showing the secure shopping one. At least use that or contact Hacker Safe etc. With your items you are selling, you are selling to a lot of moms and possibly teachers and they have to know things are safe these days, actually everyone does! No one is going to look way down where you have the Yahoo badge! Again, I love the website! I would definitely stay on your site and shop! Pam |

I agree with Pam - I loved your site -- very user friendly, easy to shop and very eye-appealing. You have a niche products (very hard to find educational type products) and you should definitly target schools. Start with your local area - go to the science departments and tell them about your products - then start either emailing or mailing other school districts. Once you have made a contact with a local district -- teachers TALK - so the word would be spread fast about you and your site and and pretty soon every school in the district would have your products. Then you have FREE advertising (word of mouth is best)
Also, get a toll free # - its inexpensive and it makes you look professional and invested in your biz. Post your toll free # at the top of the page (in your banner) when you don't have an easy way for people find your phone #, it looks like you are hiding. Great site -- Also agree with Pam - the new snap shop is awesome and has so many cool features -- getting on my site next week, but I have the old version. My sales went up 21% after snap shop - so it works!
