"Snakes found eating corpse."

"Mysterious assailant stabs Luke Perry."

Are these headlines from the latest edition of the National Enquirer? Nope, it's the new "tactic" spammers are using to get people to open their e-mails. So I've come up with a few blingers of my own to attract the less savvy among us:

"Web surfer drowns in ping flood."

"Shopper dies trying to click to enlarge at Mega-Lo-Mart."

"Google to buy rights to market Viagra and replica watches."

Now, get creative and share some of your own…

Someone recently raved about an email marketing subject line from MooseJaw- I guess they can get away with these kind of things because of their edgy branding and audience, but I think it said: Everything's On Sale. Because I am Naked.

So silly- but it grabs ya.

I don't have any of my own creation to share... but I do have 2 email headlines that made me laugh. These were both spam emails that I received on my personal email:

"Jean, You Look Terrible!"

&

"We took pictures of you in the shower. Look now!"

Needless to say, I did not open either.

I mass delete my Gmail SPAM, but maybe for laughs, I'll start reading more- wait, let's look now... I have 164 messages there from yesterday ...

I also got the cat attacks one Scott mentioned and these:

Boy Blinded After Perfume Bottle Explodes

Kidnapper at Large in NY; Dangerous

Bishops Sodomizes Young Priests

Gosh- I didn't realize how crazy they were getting!!

i am still a sucker for these......always clicking on them just hoping that they have finally found a "solution".....but it's always a let down.....maybe next e-mail!!
