Default Get Your Phone Number in Your Header!!

Hello everyone!

In our holiday webinar on Wednesday, Solid Cactus' own Scott, Lou and Kurt gave a great presentation and one of the most important things they suggested was adding your toll-free number to the header- so customers can find it. Lou was not joking when he said Solid Cactus will get calls from customers looking for the number of a client.

Just this week, I received one call from a frantic (potential) customer of an ecommerce site trying to reach customer service for a product question- he saw our "Designed by Solid Cactus" link at the bottom of the site and called us-- obviously my hands are tied- there was nothing I can do. And, the SA who sits next to me also got a call from a different site's customer, but the same situation. That's just two calls within two days. Imagine how much it happens.

The point is: PEOPLE WANT TO TALK TO YOU.

If your web business is extremely busy or you do ecommerce part-time and do not have the time to talk with customer- PLEASE do not hide from your customers and make it impossible to reach you. That is poor service-- customers WILL go somewhere else. Your best bet in that case is to consider outsourcing your customer service.

It just really bothers me that in today's world of instant responses and cool technology that customers with money to burn still cannot reach someone at ecommerce sites in one shape or another... Ecommerce is a business- not a shield to hide from your customers behind. Follow best practices and you will be a shining success!!

Good Point....
I just added live chat...but use the call center too. Good to know it might be worth it just from what you mentioned above.
I had posted on if the webinar would be avail. and someone mentioned it would be a cactus cast....so I need to find that and catch up...

Thanks - the webinar link does not work for me - do you know where cactus casts are? I tried to search for them but nothing came up.....
