PAyment Tech
ANy others use Payment tech? And have any comments to share? We use payment tech and love the convenience we pay a bit more in processing fees but we spend less time rekeying in cc #s and less errors. Just curious what others using think Karl |

what are their rates, or does it vary on the amount of volume?
We do it all inhouse, only because our bank gives us a smoking deal because we also tie it all in together with our C stores we operate... but... what a pain in the neck.. we have a person that sits infront of the charge card machine all day typing in numbers etc, plus we do not run live inventory because our inhouse system that also runs our C Stores and warehouse will not tie in with my Yahoo store... so we feel hand doing it saves a lot of time if we run out of something... but as usual Im probably wrong ha ha... I am curious of the percent they charge? Thanks |

hey pam!
it totally does matter about volume, but first off, who do you currently use? your current bank should be able to give you an account linked to your other retail accounts for the web. as long as it is configured on the "FDMS Nashville Platform", it can be easily configured into your store. chase paymentech will also be happy to do your credit card processing for your stores too! i can almost bet that they would beat the rates you currently pay. email me pam, i'll hook you up with one of the managers there and see if they can beat what you currently have...

Joe P is correct. In order to process Real time processing at Yahoo you'll need to setup with a merchant account provider/bank that's First Data Nashville compatible (FDMS). First Data Nashville is a what they call a platform. The platform is simply the link between Yahoo and the merchant provider/bank. Merchant providers are a dime a dozen, so go with a credible one. Do your homework and check references.
