What is everyone's favorite blogging software? Blogger? Movable Type? LiveJournal? WordPress? Live Spaces? Give a shout-out to your platform of choice!
Mine is WordPress because it is so easy to get a website online.

Word Press is the best and easiest to set up, but stick with 2.3 for now too many bugs with the 2.5. Loads of free templates so no programming is involved plus plugins to add great functionality to the blogs too.
If you have your own domain you really should add a word press blog to the site and forget the free sites like blogger, live journal, and even wordpress's free blogs. By hosting it yourself you'll get better page rankings and more respect in the blogging community. |

I really like Blogger/Blogspot- but now that I am hooked, I have read that WordPress has more flexibility to customize.

Well, I have to jump in and say if you know nothing about what you are doing that blogger is great. I finally jumped in the other day and started a blog. It was very simple to do and I just put a link on my website. I picked the most basic template and think it fits the look I was wanting. Doesn't look like my store - I know Solid Cactus can do that - but for a start I wanted to be a little different and just see how things go.
So ....after my rambling ....blogger. |

Hi Debra--
Just thought you might like to know the link you have on your site to your blog does not work! I read your post about blogger and wanted to read your blog, but your link isn't an actual link, so couldn't get to it!

I have a blogger/blogspot and it is simple in some respects, and difficult in others. Plus, it's downright ugly.
That being said, I tried to do a blog on Wordpress and I know that my computer skills teeter on pre-kindergarden.....I simply am having the worst time. I can "post" a blog but I can't find it, I can't do anything great with it, etc. Is there a blog thing out there for the truly computer incompetent? |

I like WordPress, but I still cling to my old LiveJournal from way back in the day.

My vote is for WordPress!
I really like the flexibility in design and management of content. Plus I also like their blog stats feature that shows traffic information :-) My only gripe about WordPress is the difficulty in adding third party widgets. I can't figure it out!
