I was reading in the book
Web Design for ROI that "an average of 59.8% of all visitors entering a checkout process will abandon it before completion".
That scares me. I see those types of results on my store.
I know many reasons can contribute to this, some that store owners have no control of. One thing in this book that was suggested was to make your checkout process one page, or one step, rather than a process that requires users to click "NEXT" one or more times to continue through the checkout process.
I was wondering if anyone has attempted to modify the Yahoo Store checkout process to one page, streamlining the steps and making it easier for the end user? If so, have your sales rates increased?
Thanks in advance!
