Hans,
I have both Yahoo Secure Shopping logo and Hacker Safe on my website.
We use to get calls when I had only the Yahoo secure logo showing asking us how secure we were. W have not had any calls about this anymore since adding the Hacker Safe.
Does it make a difference???? hmmmm... all I can say is the phone calls about how secure we were stopped. I actually think if Yahoo did a better looking, more in your face "Secure Logo", like the one Hacker Safe has, people would relax a little and accept the Yahoo one as a secure website
If you have a Yahoo store and the right to use their "Secure Logo" thing... I'd make it BIG and were the customer can see it right off the bat, not on the bottom.
I feel Yahoo logo choices are lame... “Wimpy” … Hacker Safe is noticed right away, Yahoo’s needs a redo! I think they designed them long ago before people were really wise to all the fraud and hacking issues.
I use to think having the word "HACKER" on my website would scare people... possibly making them think “oh has this store been hacked into before so now they need this", but I was wrong. Hacker Safe did a good job with the look of it, and everyone jumped on the bandwagon and now people that use the internet to shop a lot, look for it and the other versions ASAP.
Hans.. if you feel your website lacks credibility, why? Do you let them know you are for real? Do you have pictures of yourself or your business on your about us page? If you don’t have a building to show, I’d use your house and some how incorporate your logo on it somewhere
It's hard to believe, but when you’re not a big brand name store, people will read all about you. They love to see pictures!
We hate having all the “about us” , but people love it... I think they realize we are the real deal and that helps ease their minds about the store too.
Hope this helps
Pam
